Artius Partners with the Sunshine Coast Mind & Neuroscience - Thompson Institute
Artius, the Sunshine Coast’s leading mental health provider and health program manager has partnered with the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) to provide mental health services to the public from the Sunshine Coast Mind and Neuroscience – Thompson Institute.
Artius are the largest provider of mental health services program management in the Sunshine Coast and Gympie region and currently manage the Access To Allied Psychological Services (ATAPS) program on behalf of the Central Queensland, Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast PHN.
Mr Paul Stokes, Managing Director of Artius said: “Our collocation within USC’s Thompson Institute expands upon an already productive relationship between the University and Artius. In 2016, Artius’ Clinical Centre of Excellence provided USC’s students of Psychology with comprehensive private practice clinical experiences”.
“The partnership of a leading facility such as the Thompson Institute with Artius, known for excellence in clinical service provision, will improve the level of access to evidence-based clinical mental health care for members of the Sunshine Coast community. Mr Stokes said.
The Thompson Institute located in Birtinya’s Innovation Parkway is a three-storey hub for world class health research, teaching and clinical services. The Institute specialises in addressing key mental health issues in the community such as suicide prevention, mood disorders, depression, autism and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Professor Jim Lagopoulos, Director of USC’s Thompson Institute said: "The Thompson Institute and USC at Birtinya are pleased to have partnered with Artius where together we will provide the next generation of integrated mental health care for the Sunshine Coast community".
Artius commenced delivery of services from the Thompson Institute in late 2016.
