Artius to Expand Services under Skilling Queenslanders for Work

The Artius Foundation have been advised they have been successful in their bid to provide expanded services under the State Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.

The Artius Foundation, a not for profit organisation dedicated to helping people to reach their potential, commenced services under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative in March 1st 2016. 

The most recent tender round will see The Artius Foundation receive funding to continue to deliver employment services case management and Certificate II in Skills for Work in the Gold Coast and Ipswich regions as well as an expansion into Logan to deliver the Youth Skills program.

Managing Director of the Artius Group and founder of the Artius Foundation Mr Paul Stokes said “With significant interest from providers across the state, our submission represented our commitment to assisting people in our regions to reach their potential through skill development and following through to employment.”

The Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative provides training to people who are under-utilised or under-employed as well as building the skills of young people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with a disability, mature age job seekers, women re-entering the workforce and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

The Department of Education and Training has invested $240Million in funding over four years to support up to 32,000 Queenslanders into work.

“Our programs deliver an exciting opportunity for young Queenslanders to further their education and training in turn assisting them to achieve and maintain meaningful employment” said Mr Stokes.
