Contract
success sees Artius expand
The results of the Federal Government
Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations’ (DEEWR)
competitive tendering process to deliver the new Disability Employment Services
(DES) were released yesterday with
a big win for the Artius Group.
Artius tendered for - and gained - new
business in the Gold Coast Employment Service Area (ESA)
as well as retaining its Ipswich market share.
As a result, four new offices will open at Biggera Waters, Nerang, Palm Beach and Southport
on the Coast in addition to premises at Oxenford, where Artius is
headquartered.
In the Ipswich ESA
the organisation will continue to service Boonah, Esk, Goodna, Inala, Ipswich
and Lowood from its current Goodna and Ipswich
outposts, the latter of which has been recently expanded and refurbished.
Artius will provide generalist vocational
rehabilitation services to job seekers in both ESAs according to Program A DES guidelines. Additionally, the organisation has
been contracted to deliver specialist (mental health) services in both areas.
Managing Director Paul Stokes commented the
expansion ‘…marks a new phase for us and complements our existing suite of
health and employment services. More importantly, we can now help more job
seekers in more locations’.
The new services commence 1 March 2010.
